Master Services recently finished a project in Cookeville, TN, aimed at protecting against water damage, mold growth, decay, odors, and pests by encapsulating the crawlspace. Our approach involved installing the trusted CleanSpace® Wall system, which was securely affixed to the basement walls using carefully drilled plastic fasteners for maximum stability. As a result, the area can now serve as an additional clean storage space, providing added functionality to the homeowner.
This crawlspace in Celina, TN was not in good condition. Water was pooling inside and increasing the possibility of mold and rot. Once these set in, they can create serious need for repairs. To protect the area, Master Services installed our CleanSpace liner, which keeps water away from vulnerable areas and mitigates energy and radon.
The team visited a home near Hilham, TN that had a sinking driveway pad. Often, water from rain works its way underneath concrete and washes away soil. The weight of the concrete also will cause settlement. To fix this slab, our team injected it with PolyLyft. The team drills holes at strategic intervals along the slab, then injects them with the high-density polyurethane. As the substance fills the voids beneath the slab, it raises it to an even position.
Our team was contacted by a property owner in Hilham, TN about the state of his crawlspace. He hadn't lived in the home long, but was worried about the potential for mold growth under his house. Our team confirmed that the area was damp and conducive to mold growth, so we recommended two systems to protect the area: our CleanSpace vapor barrier and our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. These two go far in keeping humidity, mold, and pests out of a below-grade space!
A home not far from Palmer, TN was underdoing settlement. Settlement occurs when soil shrinks or expands due to moisture. The swelling and contracting creates voids beneath a foundation, which causes sinking. To help this home, our team installed helical piers, which anchor the foundation to strong surrounding soils.
