This Kingsport, TN home had a crawl space that was damp, musty, and poorly protected from outside moisture. The thin plastic barrier on the ground was no longer effective, allowing humidity to rise and circulate through the home. Insulation and ductwork were also exposed to these damp conditions, leading to an uncomfortable environment and potential mold growth beneath the home.
To address these issues, the Master Services team performed a full crawl space transformation. The crew began by removing old debris and applying an environmentally safe soda blasting treatment to eliminate existing mold. A durable CleanSpace® vapor barrier was then installed to completely seal the crawl space floor and walls, while SilverGlo® insulation was added to improve energy efficiency. The team also installed two SuperSump® Plus pump systems along with a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier and condensate pump to control humidity year-round.
These improvements turned the crawl space from damp and unprotected to clean, dry, and efficient. To ensure the home stays healthier and better protected from future moisture and mold concerns.
