Crawl Space Mold Treatment in Cleveland, TN
Challenge
This Cleveland home was experiencing persistent humidity and signs of mold growth within the crawl space. The homeowner noticed musty odors and increased moisture, which were beginning to affect the comfort of the home above. The homeowner could not explore under the home because of the debris and mess. Through un-sealed vents underneath the home, damp air and organic material were able to enter the crawl space and create an ideal environment for mold . The homeowner wanted a long-term solution that would eliminate the problem and prevent future growth.
Solution
Our team began by performing a soda blasting mold treatment, which safely removes mold and organic buildup from surfaces without damaging the wood structure. Once the crawl space was clean, we installed the CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier System to completely seal the ground and walls, blocking humidity and preventing moisture from entering the space. To control the environment, a SaniDry™ Sedona Dehumidifier was added, one of the most energy-efficient systems available, designed to keep relative humidity low and air quality high. A condensate pump and new electrical outlet were also installed to ensure the Sedona runs continuously, while new lighting makes the space easier to inspect and maintain.
After the installation, the crawl space was transformed from a damp, mold-prone area into a clean, bright, and healthy environment. The homeowner immediately noticed a fresher smell and improved air quality throughout the home. Thanks to the combination of the CleanSpace® system and SaniDry™ Sedona, this crawl space will stay dry and protected for years to come.
