Crawl Space Repair Case Studies: SmartJacks Stabilize Crawl Space in Rugby, TN
Challenge
A customer was in the process of purchasing a home in Rugby, TN that was in need of crawl space repair. The floor joists in the crawl space were almost completely decayed. The floors of the home were being held up by stacks of rocks and pieces of wood stacked together. This makeshift jack created an unsafe living space.
Solution
Master Services began the work by clearing out the makeshift jacks. Supplemental Beams were installed to replace the rotted, decayed ones. A SmartJack system was then installed to supply the needed support and to bring the floors back up to their original positions. EZ Flow Drainage matting was installed to lead water into the crawl space to the sump pump. It was then covered with CleanSpace, a black plastic material that seals the crawl space. A LawnScape Outlet was installed to prevent rainwater from being drained directly outside the crawl space.
