Fully Encapsulated Crawl Space
The completed system covers the crawl space floor, walls, and support columns with a durable moisture barrier. The finished result creates a much cleaner, brighter space and helps separate the crawl space from ground moisture and humid outside air.
Sealing Around the Crawl Space Access
As part of the encapsulation process, our team carefully sealed the moisture barrier around the crawl space access opening. Details like these are important because gaps around doors, vents, and openings can allow humid air and moisture to continue entering the space.
Before Encapsulation
Before the project began, the crawl space had an older ground covering that was loose, wrinkled, and not fully sealed to the walls. Exposed block walls and open areas left the space more vulnerable to moisture entering from the ground and surrounding air.
