Stabilizing the Foundation Wall
Geo-Lock® Wall Anchors were installed along the basement wall to help stabilize areas that had begun to move inward. The interior steel plates connect to anchors placed in stable soil outside the home, creating a system that helps hold the wall securely in place.
Sump Pump and Battery Backup System
Water collected by the WaterGuard® system is directed into the sump pump, where it can be pumped out of the basement through the new discharge line. A battery backup system was also installed to provide added protection if the primary pump loses power.
Exterior Earth Anchors Installed
Outside the home, earth anchors were installed in stable soil away from the foundation. These anchors connect back to the interior wall plates, creating the tension needed to stabilize the affected foundation walls.
WaterGuard® and Wall Anchor Installation
Our crew installed WaterGuard® around the basement perimeter while also completing the wall anchor system. WaterGuard® is designed to collect water that enters where the wall and floor meet and direct it toward the sump pump before it can spread across the basement floor.
New Exterior Drainage Line
A new discharge line was installed outside the home to carry water from the sump system away from the foundation. Directing that water farther from the house helps reduce the chance of it collecting near the basement walls and re-entering the system.
