Foundation Repair Photo Album: Wall Anchors and Piers Installed in Abingdon, VA
Take a look at our recent work reinforcing a home's foundation using a combination of helical piers and wall anchors. These solutions are designed to provide lasting stability by addressing both vertical settlement and lateral wall movement. This home was experiencing signs of foundation settlement and lateral wall movement—common issues caused by shifting soil and hydrostatic pressure. To address the settling, we installed foundation piers beneath the footing to transfer the home’s weight to stable soil or bedrock deep below the surface. Wall anchors were also installed to counteract the inward pressure on the foundation walls, helping to restore their stability and prevent future bowing or cracking. Together, these systems work to permanently stabilize the home and protect it from further structural damage.
