In Knoxville, TN, the Knoxville Center for the Deaf reached out to Master Services concerning noticeable sinking in their foundation wall, which was so severe that it was affecting the interior floors. After conducting a thorough assessment of the foundation, our team identified soil erosion as the root cause of this issue, which was notably evidenced by the cracking around the window frames.
To prevent further deterioration and structural damage, we recommended the installation of helical piers. These piers are specially designed to provide substantial reinforcement to foundations, especially in the local clay terrain. By implementing these helical piers, Master Services ensured long-term stability and protected the building against further sinking and damage.
Upon completion of our work, we left the site after filling and cleaning the excavation area. Throughout the operation, the structure was able to continue serving the community effectively.
A homeowner in Knoxville, TN reached out to Master Foundation & Crawl Space Repair after noticing their concrete patio had begun to settle and crack over time. The uneven slabs not only created a tripping hazard but also affected the overall usability and appearance of the space. Ricky and his crew stepped in to provide a permanent solution using our poly foam injection system, designed to lift and stabilize concrete quickly and effectively without the need for full replacement.
The patio showed clear signs of settlement, with uneven slabs, visible cracks, and separation along the joints. Areas of the concrete had sunk, creating an unlevel surface and potential safety concerns.
Using our poly leveling system, Ricky and his crew successfully lifted the slabs back to their original position and sealed the cracks and joints. The patio is now level, stable, and ready to be safely enjoyed again, with a clean and restored appearance.
A homeowner in Knoxville, Tennessee began noticing a musty odor inside their home that was originating from the crawl space. As the smell became stronger over time, it became a growing concern, especially since the homeowner was preparing to put the property on the market. Musty odors can be a warning sign of crawl space mold growth, which can negatively impact indoor air quality and discourage potential homebuyers. Left untreated, excess moisture and mold can also contribute to wood deterioration and structural damage to floor joists and other wooden components beneath the home. After a thorough inspection, the team at Master Foundation & Crawl Space Repair recommended professional mold remediation using soda blasting. This environmentally responsible process removes mold from wood surfaces without the use of harsh chemicals and can be performed while homeowners remain in the home. Once the mold was removed, our team installed a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier to help control crawl space humidity and reduce the conditions that allow mold growth to return. With the crawl space restored and protected against excess moisture, the home is now better positioned for sale and the homeowner can move forward with confidence.
This crawlspace was dirty, wet, and in desperate need of encapsulation, so Master Foundation and Crawl Space Repair installed our CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier. Not only does the liner protect against moisture and mold, but it comes with a 25-year warranty against tears!
