In Signal Mountain, TN, the Master Services team undertook the task of sealing a crawlspace to shield it from potential issues. The crawlspace had previously been encapsulated using inexpensive materials, which over time resulted in tears and the accumulation of water pools. The primary objective was to thwart water damage, mold formation, decay, odors, and pest infiltration into the area. To achieve this, we meticulously opted for the dependable CleanSpace® Wall system, celebrated for its durability and effectiveness. With precision, the system was affixed to the basement walls using secure plastic fasteners, ensuring a resolute and unwavering fit through precise drilling. The CleanSpace® Wall system not only generates additional storage room but also adeptly manages moisture, effectively preventing the growth of mold.
This Signal Mountain homeowner was dealing with a crawl space that allowed moisture, debris, and outside air to enter freely beneath the home, creating high humidity levels, deteriorating insulation, and increased risk for mold and structural issues. Exposed soil and a lack of proper drainage made it difficult to control moisture, especially during heavy rainfall. The project included removing old insulation and debris, sealing the crawl space floors and piers with a durable CleanSpace® vapor barrier, installing interior drainage and SuperSump Plus sump pump systems with exterior discharge lines to manage groundwater, and adding a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to maintain consistent humidity levels year-round. With the crawl space sealed and protected, the home is now better safeguarded against moisture intrusion, mold risk, and long-term structural deterioration, providing this Signal Mountain homeowner with improved air quality and lasting peace of mind.
