The Master Services installation team effectively resolved a significant bowed foundation wall problem in Kingsport, TN, which exhibited a sizable horizontal crack. This issue was mitigated using our I-Beam Wall Braces.
With the passage of time, the wall had developed cracks attributed to excess moisture from the external terrain. The homeowner was in search of a lasting solution for this spacious area and was particularly interested in reinforcing the garage walls.
Our installation of I-Beam Wall Braces stabilized the wall by connecting it to the stable soil in its surroundings, thereby adding substantial support to the overall structural integrity of the house. The entire procedure was executed efficiently, causing minimal disruption to both the interior and exterior of the property.
Our team traveled to Kingsport, TN, to address a home settlement issue. During inspection, our home inspector noted vertical cracks in the crawlspace wall. Due to shifting soils and moisture problems, homes frequently settle, resulting in issues like cracks and stuck doors and windows, as observed in this case. This settlement compromises both the stability and market value of the home. To prevent further damage, our team installed Push piers. These devices utilize their design to secure stable soil beneath the house, offering immediate support and often restoring the house to its original height. Despite the confined space (between 4-5 feet), our skilled crew successfully completed the task.
This Kingsport, TN home had a crawl space that was damp, musty, and poorly protected from outside moisture. The thin plastic barrier on the ground was no longer effective, allowing humidity to rise and circulate through the home. Insulation and ductwork were also exposed to these damp conditions, leading to an uncomfortable environment and potential mold growth beneath the home.
To address these issues, the Master Services team performed a full crawl space transformation. The crew began by removing old debris and applying an environmentally safe soda blasting treatment to eliminate existing mold. A durable CleanSpace® vapor barrier was then installed to completely seal the crawl space floor and walls, while SilverGlo® insulation was added to improve energy efficiency. The team also installed two SuperSump® Plus pump systems along with a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier and condensate pump to control humidity year-round.
These improvements turned the crawl space from damp and unprotected to clean, dry, and efficient. To ensure the home stays healthier and better protected from future moisture and mold concerns.
Crawlspaces that lack encapsulation systems are open to a host of problems. Mold, mildew, wood rot, pests, nasty smells, and structural deterioration are rampant in crawlspaces that haven't been fortified against water. A crawlspace at a home in Kingsport, TN lacked a reliable encapsulation system, so Master Services encapsulated it with our incredible CleanSpace moisture barrier. This barrier is tear and mold resistant, and it protects against moisture and related damage.
