Our team went down to Chattanooga, TN to check out some moisture issues in a crawlspace. After looking it over, we recommended our CleanSpace moisture barrier, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and more! With our systems in place, the crawlspace will remain dry, sanitary, and free of pests.
When a Chattanooga, TN, homeowner reached out to us, they were frustrated with their crawl space. It had a damp, musty smell and was cluttered with debris, making it a breeding ground for potential issues. They were ready for a change, so we stepped in to help.
After clearing out the debris, our team laid down the CleanSpace liner, which creates a strong barrier against any future moisture. We replaced the old crawl space entry with a new EverLast door to ensure the area was sealed off properly, keeping out both the elements and unwanted pests. To top it all off, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which would keep the air dry and fresh, preventing mold from taking hold.
The transformation was remarkable, and the homeowner couldn’t have been happier with the results. Their crawl space went from being a source of worry to a well-protected part of their home, setting them up for years of protection and a cleaner, healthier environment.
Before we got involved, the crawl space under this Chattanooga, TN, home had its fair share of issues. The floors above had started to sag, and that unmistakable damp smell had begun to creep up into the house. The homeowner tried to ignore it at first, but eventually, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. When he called us, he was hoping for a solution that would make his crawl space as worry-free as the rest of his home.
When we arrived, it didn’t take long to see what was going on. After we laid out our plan, we got to work on a complete transformation. We started by installing a SmartJack System to give the floor above a strong, lasting foundation. As soon as these steel jacks were in place, the homeowner could feel the difference. The floors felt sturdy and dependable again. Moisture control was next on our list. Knowing how humid Tennessee can get, we installed an IceGuard Discharge Line outside, which protects against any water backup during freezes. Inside, a SuperSump Pump would now handle water removal, keeping the crawl space dry no matter the season.
To top it all off, we upgraded the entrance with an EverLast Door. We also added a new light fixture with a switch, giving the homeowner easy access to check on his crawl space whenever needed. When we finished, it was a whole new space. What was once a damp, dark crawl space with structural issues is now dry, stable, and easy to access. This Chattanooga homeowner can now breathe easier, knowing his crawl space is doing its job.
We recently visited a residence located near Chattanooga, TN to evaluate sagging beams in their basement. This issue is widespread in many homes, as cheaper beams are often used by home contractors, which can gradually bend over time. To tackle this problem, we utilized our SmartJacks system, which reinforces weakened beams and provides a permanent solution.
This Chattanooga homeowner was facing a crawl space that had become a major source of concern, with fallen insulation, scattered debris, and exposed earth allowing moisture to take over the environment. Conditions like these often lead to elevated humidity levels, poor air quality inside the home, and even long term structural issues as moisture begins to impact wood framing and flooring above. Without a proper barrier or moisture control system in place, the crawl space was essentially working against the home instead of protecting it.
To completely transform the space, Master Foundation & Crawl Space Repair started by removing damaged insulation and debris to eliminate contaminants and create a clean foundation for repair. The crawl space was then sealed using the CleanSpace® encapsulation system, which acts as a durable vapor barrier to block out ground moisture and prevent humidity from entering the space. Vent sealing was also completed to stop outside air from disrupting the controlled environment. To further regulate moisture and improve overall air quality, a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier with a condensate pump was installed, actively maintaining safe humidity levels year round. Finally, EverLast™ crawl space doors were added to ensure the space remains fully sealed and protected.
The result is a dry, energy efficient crawl space that now supports the home instead of putting it at risk. By eliminating moisture at the source and creating a controlled environment, this solution helps protect the home’s structure, improves indoor air quality, and gives the homeowner long term peace of mind.
